Arizona grabbed an early 4-0 lead after three innings and hung on for a game one 8-5 win. Wilson's RBI triple and Kinsler's RBI double brought Texas to within 4-2. In the 6th pitcher Daniel Hudson did it again with a two run homer making it 6-2. When dust settled, Arizona held on for the game one win.

Series tied 1-1
The Rangers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Arizona and even the series at 1-1. Willie Bloomquists two run single put Arizona up in the 4th inning. In the 6th, Kinsler hit a solo homer. Andrus singled and then Beltre hit a two run homer to put the Rangers on top 3-1. The Rangers added one in the 7th and one in the 9th for the win.

Arizona leads series 2-1
Josh Hamilton hit a solo homer in the 1st to make it 1-0. Roberts tied the game with an RBI single in the 5th. Young's RBI double in the 6th put Arizona up 2-1. Saunders, Hernandez and Putz kept the Rangers off the board the rest of the way and the Diamondbacks lead the series 2-1.
Game 4 October 27, 2011 @ Rangers Ball Park, Arlington

Series tied 2-2
Texas grabbed the early led with four runs in the first, three coming on a homer by Beltre. The Rangers led the game 5-1 after seven and the the Diamandbacks struck back. With Oliver on the mound for Harrison, three straight singles resulted in a run. After Montero hit into a double play, Chris Young belted a two run homer to make it a 5-4 game. In the 9th Feliz came on for Texas and Stephen Drew greeted him with a solo homer to tie the game. The game remained tied into the 10th. In the bottom half Michael Young singled. David Hernandez came on and got Beltre to ground out. Nelson Cruz then smacked a two run homer to win the game and even the series at 2-2.
Game 5 October 28, 2011 @ Rangers Ball Park, Arlington

Arizona leads series 3-2
Again Texas grabbed an early lead with two runs in the first. Arizona took the lead with three in the third, two coming on Parra's single. Michael Young's RBI single tied the game in the bottom of the third and the game was even at 3-3. Nady put Arizona up in the 5th with an RBI single. Chris Young hit a two run homer in the 7th to make it 6-3. Arizona would need all those runs as Texas rallied in the 9th. With Hernandez on for Putz, Hamilton and Young singled to start the 9th. Beltre grounded out and Napoli hit a sac fly to make it 6-4. Chavez singled and then Young scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-5. Hernandez then got Murphy on strikes to end the game.
Game 6 October 30, 2011 @ Chase Field, Phoenix

Arizona wins series 4-2
The game was scoreless until Hamilton's solo homer in the 3rd made it 1-0 Texas. Arizona finally got to Lewis in the 5th. Parra doubled in a run. Then RBI singles by Kennedy and Bloomquist made it 3-1 Arizona. Torrealba singled in a run in the 6th to make it 3-2. In the bottom of the 8th, after a lead off walk to Burroughs, Lewis was pulled for Feliz. With two on and one out, Upton singled in a run. Chris Young's sac fly then made it 5-2. In the 9th Hernandez came on for Arizona. Andrus walked with two outs and then Hamilton singled. Beltre came to plate as the tying run and he lined out to shortstop Drew to end the game and the series. Arizona is the 2011 champions.
